I just met Deirdre Shannon

I am now seated on the floor of the 2nd level of Las Vegas airport and leaning on the glasswall of Treasure Island shop. Got excited to blog about meeting a personality and professional singer from Ireland. I honestly didn’t know her. I don’t even know a single artist from Ireland except the popular group U2.

They were trying to check if they could get an Internet signal in the airport and I asked if they got an access. I tried to open my Macbook Pro and luckily got connected to the Internet. Still they couldn’t get through so I offered my laptop so they could check Google Maps. One of the guys would key in and they were able to find out the direction they were looking for. They were heading to Chicago.

When the guys left to probably check out something, the lady was left seating beside me and still tinkering with her laptop. Then we started this conversation until she told me that she’s a singer from Ireland. I didn’t know that she’s very popular in their country and she’s apparently having a world tour. We exchanged contact cards. We had a quick and sensible conversation. She showed me the microphone she’s using. It is a Neuman (I am not sure if I spelled it correctly). It must be the most expensive microphone. It costs like almost USD900.00 per piece. I told her we are on the same line of work. I told the guys that I am into production and technical business.

She asked me to check her website http://deirdreshannon.com/ and I did. Wow! She has been performing around the world and didn’t really know that she’s very popular. I must be lucky I have unexpectedly met her with the guy who is a label manager and a guy who I think a production person or another musician. She’s currently on US and Canada tour.

Their flight is at 3:00PM so they had to go catch boarding. The label manager even took a picture of us using my digital camera. She said she will post it on her website when she receives the picture.

It probably was an unforgettable moment in Las Vegas airport to meet some of the world’s best like Deirdre Shannon . Deirdre is very pretty and nice!

In the meantime, it is 3:00PM and I still have to wait for my 8:30PM flight to Los Angeles. Had to leave Freemont downtown early because the traffic is building up already because of the Vegas Grand Prix event.
