bye to the Ultimate Driving Machine! welcome to the Nucleus Driving Pleasure!

2008 BMW 320i and Mercedes Benz C200 are the choices for my second option to upgrade my 2003 BMW 325i. I could hardly find 2007 to 2008 325i (as my first option) with a presumption that only very few people own this type of 3-series and is not yet lined-up for sale as pre-owned.

Before I consider buying an expensive product, I check out the net and read the product reviews, what the professionals and owners say about the product, and how it is compared to other competing brands and other models. Somehow, the black 2008 BMW 320i shown by my brother who is into buy and sell business conservatively reaches the passing mark. The price? It’s PhP1.9M. The brand new of the executive edition is around P2.9M.

The experience of driving a BMW is different. I got my first bimmer 2 years ago. The 320i is underpowered, although offered cheaper. It’s just like driving any 2.0-liter Japanese car. Well, sometimes you may want to consider the brand though. But as a serious 3-series enthusiast, I still prefer driving the powerful 325i.

The C200 may look stylish with the MB’s touch of class. Cats service center is very well appreciated. But owning another Benz is overstating.

Lexus IS300, entry level in the Philippines, may be considered. But it is still very expensive and I understand that it is no longer offered in the US after launching the IS250 and IS350.

So what am I getting?

I want a machine that will bring more fun to entirely new level of inspiring driving experience with sporting genes. While providing the nucleus driving pleasure, it feels like I’m driving another 325i with its kick and highly responsive turbine that is enough to race with Porsche Cayenne. With its sports pedals, it feels like I am always in the circuit. The difference is, I can also bully others when off-road with the comfort on every journey.

And the winner is…
